If you're using my valkyr build, and focusing on hysteria, then this is the melee weapon build I would recommend (it can be applied to several weapons, fragor prime, war, galatine prime, scindo prime, etc.) The reason this build is better for eternal war valkyr than my other one is because bloodrush/bodycount don't help during hysteria.

I've found that often when dealing with groups, I prefer range to damage (and I'm often fighting end-game groups with this build) hence the inclusion of primed Reach. In terms of Hysteria, this build is optimally modded for it (it gives Valkyr high base damage, crit chance/crit damage, attack speed, and range.). The least essential mod here is probably Primed Reach (perhaps follower by fury), if you care more about single target damage than hitting an entire crowd, feel free to switch it out for elemental (this build is meant to be used for hysteria though, and none of these mods, element dmg or range, matter for that).

This build is great for tanking/reviving allies, as nothing will kill you while hysteria is active (nullifiers/running out of energy/falling off a map deactivate hysteria).

You can also function as a buffing frame with this build, and perma-buff your entire squad (under the right conditions). Cast WarCry on the squad at the beginning of the match, then run around killing enemies with normal melee and/or hysteria melee. If you can kill enemies fast enough (easy in endless modes with good spawns) you'll sustain the buff for the entire match (unless you fall of the map or get hit by a nullifier).

The melee mods on this build are fairly essential as they buf Valkyr's Hysteria, but the weapon itself no longer has any effect on hysteria. Technically this means that you can use whatever weapon you want, however I still recommend this one, as it works very well with the listed mods.
